The leadership of the American Open University comprises of consultants, scholars, practitioners, and executives who have worked with several organizations in various capacities and had contributed to the growth and advancement of several organizations. These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, which include higher education, private, public, and non-profit sectors with a wealth of knowledge and experiences in business, IT, education, and digital media.

Our Global Advisory Council comprises a distinguished assembly of international educational leaders, seasoned industry experts, influential political figures, and dynamic entrepreneurs from across Africa, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia, who collectively provide strategic guidance, foster global partnerships, and champion innovative solutions to real-world challenges, ensuring our students are equipped to lead and innovate on a global stage.

Dr. Lenora Mosby
Professor John Ifediora is an Emeritus Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin, where he taught for over 25 years. He is currently a Visiting Professor at New York University and the University System of Maryland, as well as American University in the Washington DC Area. He has provided consulting services to various state governments in the United States. Notably, he advised the Wisconsin Department of Revenue on its Tax Incidence Study, served as a special consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and provided economic impact analysis to the Illinois State Senate on the state lottery’s effects on the economy of Chicago.
Professor Ifediora holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois At Chicago, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also obtained an M.A. from the University of Chicago, an M.St. from University of Oxford, and an M.S. from University of Cambridge. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dakota Wesleyan University and pursued post-graduate studies at the London School of Economics. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Dakota Wesleyan University.
Dr. Susan N. Kahn serves as Director of Assessment at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Dr. Kahn has held several key roles advancing institutional effectiveness in higher education, such as coordinating the Graduate and Professional Education track of the Assessment Institute and serving as officer for the Knowledge Development Task Force with the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education. She has collaborated on the Grand Challenges in Assessment Project and serves on the advisory board for Leading Improvements in Higher Education, a service of the Assessment Institute hosted by IUPUI. Dr. Kahn consults with state and national government agencies, including the United States Department of Education and the National Science Foundation, on P20W educational policymaking and programming.

Senator (Dr.) Fatai Buhari
Dr. Suzanne Scott has worked in the high-tech industry as a Learning Architect, Technical Training Manager, Global Training Manager, and Senior Instructional Designer at various Fortune 500 companies such as Apple Computer, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, and Agilent Technologies. She is currently a Senior Implementation Strategist at Edward Jones Investment. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Coast University, a Master of Arts degree in Education from San Jose State University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lindenwood University.

Dr. Sally Bolujoko

Dr. Sally Nkem Adukwu-Bolujoko is the Chairman of the Board, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is a renowned Nigerian scholar, educationist, and entrepreneur who has significantly contributed to industrial relations, education administration, and management consulting. With an extensive educational background and multiple leadership roles, including President of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Dr. Bolujoko has excelled in various fields. She has actively participated in politics and community service, serving on various government committees and advocating for change. Dr. Bolujoko is a respected author and presenter, and her dedication to education, management, and community development has earned her numerous fellowships and accolades, solidifying her position as a respected figure in West Africa.
El Hadj Lehbib Mohamedou is a diplomat in the Mission of Mauritania to the United Nations in New York and a former Advisor to UN-President of the General Assembly, where he served as Adviser in charge of Budget, Legal Affairs, and the Reform of the United Nations. He serves with his country’s Mission as Elections Officer and covered other questions such as the cooperation between the G5 Sahel and the United Nations, currently; he oversees the 1st Committee of the UN-General Assembly which deals with Disarmament and International Security. El Hadj holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Nouakchott, and a diploma from the National School of Administration of Mauritania, diplomatic section. He is currently obtaining a Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a master’s degree in international Problems and Conflict Resolution from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
